Christine Kaupa

Christine Kaupa is an Actuarial Director at Thrivent, leading a team responsible for the pricing, product development, and in force management of the company’s annuity portfolio. She partners across the enterprise to advance product strategy, delivering competitive solutions while maintaining disciplined risk management. Christine also leads Thrivent’s annual dividend and surplus recommendation across life, health, and annuity product lines, applying an equitable approach to deliver value to clients. Previously, in a life insurance role, she drove accelerated underwriting program enhancements and implemented a framework to improve mortality risk transparency. Christine is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst, and she earned a B.S. in Mathematics with a Statistics concentration from St. Olaf College. Outside of work, she enjoys building community through shared interests like running and giving back through volunteer service at her children’s elementary school and other local organizations.
