WASHINGTON--American Council of Life Insurers (ACLI) President and CEO David Chavern made the following comments on the Living Donor Protection Act introduced by Reps. Reps. Don Bacon (R-NE) and Jerrold Nadler (D-NY):

“Life insurers are committed to helping people access the financial protection they want and need for themselves and their families. The Living Donor Protection Act will help ensure that organ donors can continue to access life, disability income, or long-term care coverage, while upholding fair underwriting standards. Most importantly, it will safeguard those who selflessly give the gift of life through organ donation.”
