WASHINGTON—The American Council of Life Insurers (ACLI) and 10 other leading retirement security organizations will host the ERISA 50th Anniversary Symposium and Gala on Thursday, September 12, 2024, in Washington, D.C.
The symposium will be held at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center, and the gala will be held at the National Building Museum. The event will mark five decades since the landmark passage of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA). The event also will be accessible virtually.
“For 50 years ERISA has protected workers’ benefits and helped ensure their continued access to the financial and retirement security products and services they want and need,” said ACLI President and CEO Susan Neely. “Our one-day program will bring together legal experts, government representatives, and other stakeholders to discuss ERISA’s past, present, and future in safeguarding the retirement and health and welfare benefits of American workers.”
