WASHINGTON – The American Council of Life Insurers (ACLI) has appointed Melissa Young as Regional Vice President, State Relations. She will report to ACLI Senior Vice President, State Relations Leah Walters.
“We are fortunate to have Melissa bring her broad public and private sector experience and industry expertise to our team,” said Walters. “She will play a key role in our ongoing efforts to help all Americans achieve their financial and retirement security goals.”
Prior to joining ACLI, Young was Legislative and Regulatory Counsel for Allstate Insurance Company. She also has served as Chief of Staff at the Colorado Division of Insurance and as an attorney in the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Denver, CO.
Young has a Juris Doctor from Hamline University School of Law and a Bachelor of Science degree from Iowa State University.
