WASHINGTON – Laura Leigh Latta has joined the American Council of Life Insurers (ACLI) as State Relations Regional Vice President. She will report to ACLI Senior Vice President, State Relations Leah Walters.
“We’re fortunate that Laura Leigh is bringing to ACLI her extensive experience and understanding of the integral role life insurers play in protecting consumers,” said Walters. “As part of the state relations team, she will help advance policies that ensure all Americans can access the tools they need for financial and retirement security.”
Latta comes to ACLI after serving as Assistant Vice President of Government Affairs at Protective Life Corporation. She also has served on several insurance association boards including the Nebraska Insurance Federation and as President of the Association of Alabama Life Insurance Companies.
Latta has a Juris Doctor from the University of Alabama School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Sewanee, The University of the South.
