Washington, D.C., (October 19, 2011) – The American Council of Life Insurers (ACLI) filed today its comments with the Life Actuarial Task Force (LATF) of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) on Actuarial Guideline 38.

In its summary, ACLI notes that LATF’s September 9, 2011 statement on AG 38 “is anything but clear” and asks that LATF not adopt the measure.
