WASHINGTON – The American Council of Life Insurers (ACLI) has appointed Sarah Lashley as Assistant Vice President, Taxes and Retirement Security. She will report to ACLI Senior Vice President, Taxes and Retirement Security Regina Rose.
“We are fortunate that Sarah has chosen to bring her extensive industry knowledge and experience to ACLI,” said Rose. “Her skills will be put to good use in our ongoing efforts to help all Americans secure their retirements and protect their financial futures.”
Prior to joining ACLI, Lashley worked for Transamerica as Senior Counsel and then Assistant General Counsel, focusing on product and company insurance issues. She also worked in the Insurance Branch of the IRS Office of Chief Counsel as a general attorney and then Assistant to the Branch Chief. Before her work at the IRS, Lashley was an attorney advisor to two judges at the United States Tax Court. She began her career in the U.S. Army, serving six years as a Signals Intelligence Analyst.
Lashley has a Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Chaminade University of Honolulu.
