Washington—The 66th U.S. Secretary of State, Condoleezza Rice, will be the keynote speaker during the American Council of Life Insurers’ (ACLI) virtual Annual Conference that will take place October 12-13, 2020. This is the premier meeting for an industry that helps 90 million American families build a financial safety net that protects them through all stages of life.
Building on the theme “Future Ready,” the conference will feature inspiring speakers from across industries and explore life insurers’ role in shaping a future made for every American.
Led by ACLI Chairman Dan Houston, Chairman, President and CEO of Principal Financial Group, and ACLI President and CEO Susan Neely, speakers and panels will discuss the legislative and regulatory landscape influencing the industry and the financial protections it provides to millions of American families.
During the conference, Ted Mathas, Chairman and CEO of New York Life, will succeed Mr. Houston as chairman of the ACLI Board of Directors. Mr. Mathas will serve as chair through October 2021.
Other guest speakers include world-renowned chef and humanitarian José Andrés, former NASA Astronaut Mike Massimino and U.S. House Editor for the Cook Political Report David Wasserman.
