Washington, D.C. (January 23, 2018) — Kathleen Coulombe has joined the Federal Relations Department of the American Council of Life Insurers (ACLI) as vice president with responsibility for retirement security issues. She reports to ACLI Acting Senior Vice President, Federal Relations, Alane Dent.

“Kathleen is a proven government affairs professional with extensive experience advocating for policies that help Americans prepare for retirement,” said Dent. “We are fortunate to have her at ACLI working in support of the millions of policyholders who look to our member companies to help them address their financial and retirement security needs.”

Prior to joining ACLI, Coulombe served as senior advisor for government relations at the Society for Human Resource Management, where she focused on issues related to retirement security, employee benefits and taxes. She also has worked at the U.S. Department of Defense and the office of former Nevada Governor Kenny Guinn (R).

Coulombe received a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas and a Master of Public Policy from George Washington University.
