Washington, D.C. (September 11, 2012) — Jessica Hanson has joined the American Council of Life Insurers (ACLI) as vice president, communications. In this role, Hanson will be responsible for ACLI’s website content (www.acli.com), advertising, consumer brochures, grassroots, social media and other initiatives.

“We’re fortunate to have Jessica on our team,” said Shawn Hausman, ACLI senior vice president, public affairs. “She brings a wealth of communications experience and expertise to ACLI. These skills will be an invaluable asset to ACLI and its members companies.”

Before joining ACLI, Hanson worked at the Property Casualty Insurers Association of America for five years, directing state, federal and international public affairs efforts.

Hanson graduated from Florida State University, with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and a minor in communication. She also earned a Master of Business Administration from Florida State.
