Washington, D.C. (August 10, 2016) – Top life insurance company executives will convene in Washington, D.C. for the American Council of Life Insurers’ (ACLI) annual conference, October 16-18, 2016 at the J.W. Marriott. This is the premier meeting for the life insurance industry that provides financial and retirement security for 75 million American families.

 

Inspired by the conference’s theme, “Change = Opportunity,” speakers and panels will explore how the industry can navigate the evolving legislative and regulatory landscape to serve its current and future customers.

 

ACLI Chair Deanna Mulligan, president and CEO of The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America, and ACLI President and CEO Dirk Kempthorne, will provide opening remarks highlighting the unique solutions life insurers offer to help Americans address challenges to their financial and retirement security. During the conference, Ms. Mulligan will pass the ACLI chair to Peter Schaefer, president and CEO of Hannover Life Reassurance Company of America. Mr. Schaefer will serve as chair through the 2017 ACLI Annual Conference.

 

Ron Insana, senior analyst with CNBC, will emcee the conference. Featured speakers will include:

 

  • The Honorable Andrew Card, White House chief of staff under President George W. Bush;
  • The Honorable Thomas “Mack” McLarty III, White House chief of staff under President Bill Clinton;
  • Amy Walter, national editor of the Cook Political Report; and
  • Lauren Manning, YouBoard.net co-founder and chief strategist and author of New York Times bestseller, Unmeasured Strength.
