Responsibilities include 1) lobby Congress and the Administration on behalf of ACLI on issues before the Senate Banking and House Financial Services Committees; 2) represent federal relations department internally and externally on financial services, Dodd-Frank Act, insurance regulatory modernization, privacy, international insurance standards, insurance guaranty associations and other assigned issues; 3) coordinate lobbying activities and assist in policy development in concert with the Office of the General Counsel on above-mentioned issues; 4) prepare PAC recommendations; and 5) give technical, editorial and/or creative support in the development of testimony, policy position and lobbying documents to be used in connection with legislative priorities of the ACLI. Taxes and Retirement Security Intern
Posted 12/4/18 -- The intern program is designed for you to become a part of our team and gain experience working on taxes and retirement security within a trade association. No experience in insurance or financial services is necessary. Interns do not receive salaries, but they are eligible for a transportation subsidy, have access to the on-site gym, and receive occasional invitations to attend various special meetings, receptions, etc. ACLI will support any opportunity an intern has to receive course credits or other benefits through their university for this internship.
