Washington, D.C. (February 21, 2012)—The American Council of Life Insurers (ACLI), whose member companies help Americans plan for and secure their financial futures, is a proud supporter of “America Saves Week,” which is February 19-26.
The goal of “America Saves Week” is to educate people on tools and strategies to help them save and reach their financial goals. This mission aligns with the work life insurers perform on a daily basis with millions of their customers. In fact, one in every five dollars of Americans’ long-term savings is in life insurance and annuities.
Throughout “America Saves Week,” ACLI will be Tweeting tips consumers can use to achieve their financial and retirement security goals. ACLI’s website, www.acli.com, has information on ways consumers build savings and protect their finances from life’s uncertainties. The website also features informative consumer brochures on life insurance, annuities, long-term care insurance and disability income insurance and the vital role these products play in consumers’ financial plans. Additional resources on life insurance and retirement savings are available via www.acli.com.
ACLI urges consumers to take advantage of the resources offered by all supporters of “America Saves Week” and to ensure they are on track to reach their financial and retirement security goals.
