The American Council of Life Insurers (ACLI) joined other associations and reinsurers with the following statement today on the continuation of negotiations between the United States and the European Union on a “covered agreement” on insurance and reinsurance:
Washington, D.C., (December 13, 2016) -- “The undersigned organizations applaud the U.S. and the EU delegations' continuing commitment to reach an agreement that resolves significant insurance and reinsurance regulatory issues for companies doing business in both jurisdictions. We urge the negotiators to bring these discussions to a prompt conclusion that results in a mutually beneficial agreement for all stakeholders.”
