(September 15, 2011) — Executives from leading life insurance companies will gather in Orlando, FL, October 16-18 for the American Council of Life Insurers’ (ACLI) Annual Conference at the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek. This is the premier conference for an industry that is a leader in providing financial and retirement security to millions of Americans and plays a key role in driving our nation’s economy.
Hosted by former NBC and CNN news anchor Mary Alice Williams, the conference will explore financial services reform, global solvency initiatives and other legislative, regulatory and economic issues facing the industry.
Setting the tone for the meeting, ACLI President and CEO Dirk Kempthorne and ACLI Chairman Michael D. Fraizer, Chairman, President and CEO of Genworth Financial, will discuss the industry’s present and future role in protecting families’ finances and preparing workers for long retirements. During the conference, Mr. Fraizer will pass the ACLI chairmanship to Ted Mathas, Chairman, President and CEO of New York Life. Mr. Mathas will serve as chairman until the 2012 ACLI Annual Conference.
