Steven W. Webersen is a Managing Director and Head of Insurance Research at Conning. Mr. Webersen joined Conning in May 2012 and was initially responsible for Conning's property-casualty research group. Prior to joining Conning in 2012, Mr. Webersen was a Managing Partner for SFRi LLC., an investment banking boutique serving the insurance industry. Mr. Webersen has over 33 years of experience in the insurance industry, including as a managing director at Swiss Re in its capital partners group, the property casualty rating division at A.M. Best Company, and equity research and corporate finance at Smith Barney. Mr. Webersen is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire with a degree in Economics.
Frank J. Cataldo, FSA, MAAA, CFA, FLMI, is a Director at Conning where he is responsible for providing asset-liability and integrated risk management advisory services to life and health insurance company clients. Prior to joining Conning in 2001, Mr. Cataldo was an Actuary for the Travelers Insurance Company, responsible for pricing and asset/liability management for institutional investment products. Mr. Cataldo graduated from the University of Connecticut with a degree in Actuarial Science with Honors.
Matthew Daly, CFA, is a Managing Director and the Head of Credit Research at Conning where he is responsible for the global corporate and sovereign research teams. Prior to joining Conning in 2003, Mr. Daly was employed as a Credit Analyst at Webster Bank following non-investment grade leveraged loans. Prior to Webster, Mr. Daly was employed as a Credit Analyst at Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. and also at FleetBoston Financial Group. Mr. Daly is a graduate of Gordon College with a degree in Economics and Business Administration.
