America's Pieced Together Insurance Laws are Puzzling
(10/3/2007)

ACLI joined with 10 other trade associations to place an ad in The Hill (Oct. 3) applauding Reps. Paul Kanjorski (D-Pa.) and Deborah Pryce (R-Ohio) for conducting a series of hearings on insurance regulatory reform.

The groups also express support for the National Insurance Act of 2007--which would create an optional federal charter for insurers--introduced by Reps. Melissa Bean (D-Ill.) and Ed Royce (R-Calif.) in the House and by Sens. John Sununu (R-N.H.) and Tim Johnson (D-S.D.).
